Performance Questions and Answers:

What types of clients do you work with?

I specialize exclusively in working with professional athletes and career creatives. My practice is designed for individuals whose livelihoods depend on their ability to perform under high-stakes conditions, including professional players in the NFL, MLB, and NBA, as well as Hollywood show runners, actors, musicians, and industry leads.

I work best with clients who have already tried mindset coaching or traditional talk therapy and are looking for a deeper, neurological approach to resolve performance blocks like the yips, creative stagnation, or high-pressure anxiety.

Do you offer standard 50-minute sessions?

While I offer the traditional clinical hour, I find that elite performance work often requires more "runway." Many of my clients prefer 90-minute or 2-hour high-impact blocks. This allows us to move past the surface and complete deep EMDR processing without the interruption of a standard 50-minute timer. We will determine the best structure for your goals during our initial strategy session.

Is my privacy protected?

Confidentiality is a cornerstone of my practice, particularly for high-profile clients. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform and handle all engagements with the highest level of professional discretion. I am accustomed to the privacy needs of public figures and am happy to discuss specific coordination needs with your management or representation.

How is EMDR different from Sports Psychology or Performance Coaching?

Most performance coaching works from the "top-down," using conscious tools like visualization and self-talk. EMDR works from the "bottom-up."

Instead of just managing your thoughts, we target the nervous system where the "glitch" is stored. We go directly to the physiological root of the block so that your body and mind can return to an instinctive flow state without you having to "force" it.

I’m in the middle of my season/production. Can we still do this work?

Yes. One of the strengths of EMDR is that it can be adapted to your current professional timeline. We can focus on "resource-building" to stabilize your performance during a high-demand period, or do deeper "reprocessing" work during your off-season or hiatus. My approach is entirely case-by-case to match your schedule.
